Epoxy System for Modifying Concrete

DESCRIPTION

Epoxy.com Product #115 Epoxy System for modifying concrete is a two component, 2:1 ratio, 100% solids, liquid epoxy resin system.  It can be added to conventional concrete or mortar mixes to produce high strength, epoxy modified concrete or mortar mix.

WHERE TO USE

Especially suitable for topping for bridge decks, bridge seats, parking garages, piers, grade slabs, and pads for rail or machine setting.

ADVANTAGES

Epoxy.com Product #115 Epoxy System System for modifying concrete will increase durability, freeze-thaw and impact resistance. Product #115 will increase compressive, flexural, tensile and tensile splitting strengths.  The coefficient of expansion and set time is the same as normal concrete.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Substrate must be clean and sound.

ABOVE GRADE- Apply Product #7 Bonding Agent to the surface to be repaired at a rate of approximately 100 square feet / gallon.  While the bonding agent is still tacky, place the epoxy modified mortar or concrete mix.

GRADE SLAB - Apply a slurry coat of epoxy modified mortar to the area to be repaired.  Place the epoxy modified mortar or concrete while the slurry is still wet.

MIXING

The following mixes are suggested as guides.  Local aggregates vary, mix proportions should be based on available supply.  Mix with as low a water content as is consistent with proper placing and consolidation.
