DESCRIPTION:
Epoxy.com Product #256 Impact and Chemical Resistant
Coating is a 100%
solids epoxy coating specifically formulated and manufactured to
produce a
tough, impact resistant coating. Epoxy.com Product #256
is a chemically modified epoxy
and has high tensile strength and tensile elongation. These
properties prevent
cracking from impact or expansion/contraction cycles caused by
temperature
changes. Epoxy.com Product #256 will resist
chipping from impact.
ADVANTAGES:
- Epoxy.com Product #256 is a solvent free,
water insensitive epoxy that can be applied to
moist or dry surfaces.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 is ideal for the
encapsulation of lead paint.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 is excellent for
secondary containment, on concrete, concrete
blocks or other construction materials.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 can be rolled,
brushed or squeegeed.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 maintains excellent
flexibility to -20° F and is not affected by
expansion/contraction cycles caused by changing temperatures.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 is resistant to
hydrogen sulfide, methane and other harsh
exposures found in soil and tunnel construction.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 is used on floors,
ramps, garage decks as a non-skid or non-slip
surface with an aggregate broadcast, using Epoxy.com
Product #75 or Product #81 Aggregate.
- Epoxy.com Product #256 has extremely low
vapor transmission rates when tested in
accordance with ASTM D-1434.
- The tensile elongation properties are locked into the epoxy
molecular structure
and will not change with aging.

Epoxy.com Product #256 Impact and Chemical Resistant
Coating or Mortar can
be used as a mortar with the addition of 3 to 4 parts
Epoxy.com Product # 76 Epoxy Extender.
This will produce a mortar with a lower modulus of elongation
that will not fail
(pull away from the weaker concrete) in changing temperature
cycles.
SURFACE PREPARATION
For best results, areas to receive the Epoxy.com Product
#256 Impact and
Chemical Resistant Coating or Mortar must be free of
dirt, grease and
laitance. Abrasive blasting, water blasting, wire brushing or
shot blasting is
recommended for surface preparation. Steel should be cleaned to
SSPC-SP6.
MIXING
Stir "A" Component before mixing "A" & "B" Components together.
Mix one part "A"
