Patching

All of the systems listed below are the highest quality cost effective patching systems available. They all set up several times harder than average Portland cement concrete. The bond strength to clean concrete is greater than the tensile strength of the concrete. In other words when properly installed they cannot be removed without taking concrete with it.

Please check our Chemical Resistance page if chemical resistant patches are required.

Overhead Surfaces

Overhead patching can be very difficult. Product #5 can be an excellent, easy way to install a long lasting patch overhead. Product #5 was originally designed as a high modulus bonding system. It can however be used as permanent overhead patching be done on almost any hard clean construction material. It is thick enough to be applied with a trowel or similar device overhead. If the patch needs to be very thick, several lifts can be made.

Product #6 is similar to Product #5 but is slower setting.

Some of the products listed under the Vertical Surfaces section can also be used to patch overhead, but require special procedures. For more information on this contact Epoxy.com Tech support (support@epoxysystems.com) or 352-489-1666 for more details.

Vertical Surfaces

Vertical patching can be almost as difficult as overhead patching. Product #5 can be an excellent, easy way to install a long lasting patch on a vertical surface. See the details about this above.

Product #6 is similar to Product #5 but is slower setting.

Product #7 and Product #7SC can be useful as a wet to dry bonding agent when patching is to be done with concrete mortar.

Product #9, Product #10, Product #15, Product #18, Product #30, and a number of other products can also be used for vertical surfaces, but require special procedures. For more information on this contact Epoxy.com Tech support (support@epoxysystems.com) or 352-489-1666 for more details.

Horizontal Surfaces

Product #5 and Product #6 can be excellent products to use as a long lasting patch on a horizontal surface. They are best used for quick small patches, on horizontal surfaces where you want to use little or no aggregate.

Product #7 and Product #7SC can be useful as a wet to dry bonding agent when patching is to be done with concrete mortar.

Product #9, Product #15, are excellent economical patching systems. The biggest advantage to these two products is that they can be highly filled with aggregate. They can be applied as little as 7/1000 of in inch thick or as thick as 6 inches or more, when blended with the proper aggregates.
