Heat Resistant Trowel Grade Epoxy

High Temperature 100% Solids, Moisture Insensitive Epoxy Adhesive and Repair Material

DESCRIPTION

Epoxy.com PRODUCT #706 HEAT RESISTANT TROWEL GRADE is a 100% solids, moisture insensitive epoxy adhesive and repair material. When A and B Components are mixed they produce a gel consistency similar to petroleum jelly, which will not sag or run on a vertical or overhead surface application.

USES

Bonding Concrete, Ceramic, Wood, Steel and many other common building materials.

ADVANTAGES

Epoxy.com Product #706 produces a high modulus, high strength adhesive that will bond to moist, wet or dry surfaces and may be feather-edged. The 1:1 mix ratio is convenient measure to prevent mistakes in mixing in the field. It may be used in temperatures of up to 400oF. Epoxy.com Product #706 exhibits superior resistance to heat aging at elevated temperatures when compared to ordinary room temperature cured epoxies.

SURFACE PREPARATION

For best results, areas to receive the Epoxy.com Product #706 should be free of laitance, grease, oil and any other contaminants that would inhibit a bond. Wire brushing, waterblasting, or sandblasting of surface is recommended. See Epoxy.com Surface Preparation Guide for more details.

HOW TO USE

Mix the Epoxy.com Product #706 in a clean pail, using a slow-speed drill and an Epoxy.com Mixing Paddle. To obtain a mortar, add Epoxy.com Product #81 Filler slowly while continuing to mix.

Force cures must be used for enhancement of high temperature and chemical resistant properties or to allow the coating to be placed in service before 5 days. Allow the coating a post cure of 12 to 24 hours before force curing.

RECOMMENDED FORCE CURE SCHEDULE
Minimum 4 hours @ 150oF
Minimum 6 hours @ 250oF

When used neat, a one (1) gallon unit of PRODUCT #706 will cover approximately 32 sq. ft. at a 50 mil thickness. When used as mortar, a two (2) gallon unit PRODUCT #706 , mixed with a maximum of two (2) gallons by volume of Product #81 Filler, will yield approximately 780 cu. in. of paste consistency epoxy adhesive.

PACKAGING

PRODUCT #706 is packaged in 2 gallon, 4 gallon and 110 gallon units.

LIMITATIONS

PRODUCT #706 should not be used when surface temperatures are below 40°F.

CAUTION:

WARNING! A component Contains epoxy resin. DANGER! B Component contains alkaline amines; strong sensitizer. May cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Use with good ventilation, particularly if material is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin or eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and/or barrier creams. Keep container closed when not in use. Wash thoroughly after handling.

In case of skin contact, immediately wash with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush with copious amounts of water for at least (15) minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Wash clothing before reuse.

If any product fails to meet this warranty, the liability of Epoxy.com will be limited to replacement of any non-conforming material if notice of such non-conformity is given to Epoxy.com  within the warranty period for the material (as indicated above), or within 1 year of the delivery of materials (whichever is sooner). Epoxy.com may in its discretion refund the price received by Epoxy.com in lieu of replacing the material. No customer, distributor, or representative of Epoxy.com is authorized to change or modify the published specifications of this warranty in any way. No one is authorized to make oral warranties on behalf of Epoxy.com. In order to obtain replacement or refund the customer must provide written notice containing full details of the non-conformity.
