EpoxySystems’™ Product #4 Hydrophilic Sealing & Grouting Compound
DESCRIPTION: Product #4 is a one-component, "Acetone Free", MDI based hydrophilic sealing and grouting compound used to stop water leaks in wet environments. Product #4, as it mixes with existing water, cures rapidly into a tough, flexible, closed-cell compound which is insoluble to water and most other chemicals.ADVANTAGES:
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
HOW TO USE: Product #4 is used in many ways to stop water leaks. A. Product #4 is used to pressure inject in cracks or hairline cracks, the same way as low viscosity epoxy resins are used. Cracks should be wet, not dry. If cracks are dry, moisten with water.B. In expansion joints that are sealed with polysulphide, polyurethane, silicone, or any other sealant, the Product #4 is injected behind the sealant to produce a waterproof elastic joint.
C. In concrete or steel liners, such as in tunnels or foundations, holes are drilled, one way valves or packers installed, and Product #4 is pumped in. Once in contact with water, a chemical reaction takes place, and it sets within 3 to 5 minutes.D. In sewer line joints or any large size joints, to produce the most economical cost per linear foot, saturate any absorbent material such as rope, jute, or oakum, with Product #4. Remove excess Product #4 and force into joint. Spray with water to activate. Repeat procedure until joint is filled.PACKAGING: Product #4 is available in 1 gallon, 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums.CAUTION: Contains MDI. Avoid breathing vapors. Keep container closed. Use only in well ventilated areas. Wear rubber gloves, safety glasses and protective clothing. Use NIOSH approved respirator in confined area. See MSDS for further safety precautions. First Aid; In case of contact with skin or eyes, wash with large amounts of water. If allergic reaction occurs discontinue exposure. Consult a physician.FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY / KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN
